LWanted to share some more pictures from the Dallas Show. There are so many beauty and this is just a taste.

Quilt Show

Yesterday at the Dallas Quilts Show was very busy. I had full intention of getting this out last night but I couldn't figure out how to get the pics on using my IPad. Finally did as you can see. Had to use my blogger app but there must be a way, just haven't figured it out yet. We had our booth is all ready and we had a pretty good day If you happen to come to the show we are booth 252, Studio 180. This one is a lot of fun.   Love the user using what looks dated fabric making it look young again Just in love Beautiful

Five Signs of Spring

I've made it to Dallas yesterday and our booth is set up and ready for the show today. Driving south you can see more signs of spring than at home. With all the rain we received and warm temps, we too are starting to see life coming back to plants around the yard. These pictures are from earlier this week and wanted to share  The first to show itself was the Daffodils No, I take that back, it's the birth of baby calves. The lilac bush is showing buds. Then the peach tree is too, but I'm concerned because we could have one more freeze before spring. Then all would be lost  Last and most showy in the Phloxes. Just wish I had more of them planted.  Take care Kat

Gardening Woes

I have had an issue with getting my bum out to the garden and getting busy at planting. The weather has been so nice that I have no excuse other than lack of motivation Well I can say that for the past two days my potatoes planted 25th hills. Planted cauliflower (12 plants), Broccoli (six plants), red cabbage (six plants), green cabbage (six plants),  and six plants of collard greens  I didn't get the plants planted in the proper time of the moon phase. I procrastinated last week, all my fault. Then later this week I'm going to be in Dallas at the quilt show. So my timing was either do it now or delay it for another week and that would just stress out the little plants Cajonquilter had made a comment the last time I posted about planting by the moon and I had shown a calendar, here is the website that I have found that calendar. There are also two other website you can go to which is the farmers almanac here, and this one I'm still picking carrots that

Sunday Blist

Today after church I just moved in slow speed. I had intended to do a little outside but didn't. Ended up doing some reading, helped "the man of the place" feed the cows and then some prep work on the outer border for the Scandinavian Christmas. I had finished the last block (4) this week and now it's time to work on all the little blocks. There are 4 churn dash blocks to do for this last section. And there is the outer border too. It has a couple churn dash blocks, applique hearts blocks and cross stitch snowflakes. I was going through the package with the pattern and fabric. I had purchased this BOM years ago and at the time didn't go through it to see if all the fabric was included.  Has had all the fabric in each month up till now. Should of  Cause I'm missing the piece that I have highlighted. That is a good size piece and did not have scraps leftover that big. Thank goodness I had bought some of that fab

Seeing Purple

Well this months color is PURPLE over at Soscrappy I'm not a big purple person but I do have some. Also have some leftover blocks from a quilt I made my oldest daughter a few years back. This quilt was completed in 2012 and given to my daughter.  It was an easy block to piece just took a little while due to so many blocks. Her quilt was larger that the pattern specs. I believe I gave the pattern away after I was done. I have 12 blocks leftover so maybe with some sashing and border it can become this months baby quilt. Need to look now in my stash for some more purple Linking up with soscrappy

A Couple of Finishes

I did it again and hadn't wrote a thing all week.  It's been a busy week, went to the eye doctor and I am doing just fine.  Spent the day Tuesday with my parents When I was in Tulsa had to go to the newly opened Trader Joe's. So pleased to see it finally opened and now just waiting for Costco to open next month Now for the finishes, first is a baby quilt.  I machine quilt it myself using a walking foot. Seeing how I was quilting in the ditch and I'm so new at this I figure it would be easier. After just 4 hours this quilt is finished and ready to be given away. Then I have this month's group of circle completed. Now have over 120 completed.  Linking up at Quilty Folks Michelle's Romantic crazy mom quilts
