Rose Prairie Quilts and Farm

Well after writing down my tasks of things to do today and prioritizing them, which I put sewing as one of the top three, as you hopefully can see there. I am loving this daily spread. I have it down to a page a day and I can change the color to fit my mood or liking.  I am going to work on at least the blocks in month 8 of the Farmer's wife 30 samplers quilt BOM from Sager Creeks Quilt Shop.  But up on the design wall I have some more of my Quilty 365 circles. Which were from a fabric that had Thomas the train and friends images on them.  The boys are big fans of trains and Thomas. And the last two corner blocks been appliqué down for the Words to Live By quilt I'm working on. All I have left to appliqué now is the center block Later today I need to prep the Pea Ridge Lily quilt top that is getting sent off to a group of hand quilters to be worked on for me. I have been able to make a little progress last night and this morning. I finished the rest of the cross stitching, plus was able to even do the little snowflake block.  So this morning I trimmed up the block and made 4 churn dash blocks. They're little filler blocks.  Now I can say block 3 is completed and it's on to the last, block 4. I didn't get all the Farmer's Wife blocks done like I was wanting. My goal was to get the 6 blocks done so I could drop them off at the quilt shop on my way to meet my friends. We try to get together at least a couple times a month to visit and stitch. Was able to get 4 blocks completed, took these to the shop. When we meet someone usually has a finish quilt to show and this time Joan had a beautiful one,. As a group project we decided to make the Pea Ridge Lily.  I have mine done. Pam had hers done  and now Joan does too. Plus it's quilted and bound. I believe

This is my February's Lovely Finish, Nested Churn Dash. I am so pleased with how it turned out. I wanted to thank those how left comments with their suggestion on how they would finish it. I am going to take their suggestion along with my friend Mary and combine them. I will go with grey to frame it in but I'll use it in the binding.  A change from my scrappy binding like I was planning. And will have that darkness of grey but not as thick as the sashing.  Thank you everyone. So now for a few other finishes.
